My fifth grade friend is going to get her hair chemically and permanently straightened. She wants to know stuff about it. Even if she gets it done at a expensive, professional place, will it damage her hair enough to make it fall out and very unhealthy, or will it be ok? And, I need advice from people who HAVE gotten their hair chemically straightened-- did you like the results? AND HOW LONG DID IT LAST?? Thanks!! 5th grade? that makes her about 11? well i'm not sure to be honest. i wanted mine done, even after its done i found out you still have to straighten it a little bit anyway. and as your hair grows you'll need it re-doing anyway.

It will look very dull and boring when it wears out.
She will have to shave her head bald bevause her hair will be unhealthy and burnt, until new healthy hair
grows back.
