Thinning hair from Straightening?

So I straighten my hair, roughly about 4-5 times a week, with my flat iron on all the way high. lol it sounds stupid but that is the only way to straighten it. I used to have really thick hair and now its extremely dead and REALLY thin.

I used thickening shampoos and all that stuff for my hair but it doesnt get any better.

If I stop straightening it, will it get back to the way it was? If so, how long will it take and do I need any chemicals to help it?

Thanks!!! =)

you should really make sure to use a GOOD straightening iron, one made of ceramic. also, are you putting anything in befor eyou straighten it to protect it? You should go to your hairdresser and ask for a good product for that. Have you considered "japaneesing" your hair? It can be a bit costly but it may be worth it!

lay off the straightening for a while...your hair is getting damaged from it...do you use hair products to protect your hair from damage???

don't straighhten ur hair as much anymore and/or get a hair cut to remove the "dead" hair

Any heat to your hair will do damage, but it shouldn't be thining out your hair like CRAZY. You should try to talk to a professional, they could probably tell you what to do.

no chemicals just vitamins and yes you could have killed your hair by straightening it on too high heat too much.....cut them or it will not improve go a little at a tme so you don't panic but get a cut and don't put any dyes for a few mths at least.....
