I use straightening and curling irons, and I was wondering how bad they were for your hair, and which is worse.
Which is worse, straightening your hair or curling it? And how bad are they?
I would say both are equal... Both use high heats, one just does something different than the other. Both are going over most of your hair to the ends.. So, I'd say about the same really...

IMO what ever makes your hair look nice at the time do it. I bought a 119.$ Chi to straighten my half curly half straight hair and I love it, your hair is dead anyway, so hell with it.

ummmm they both are not too good. the straightener is actually worse though....but as long as you take care of your hair...like dont wash it everyday and maybe dont blow dry ur hair too often.....switch it up yo!

Both are pretty bad, but for me personally the flat iron is worse, but it could be my curling iron isn't that great. I actually use my flat iron to curl my hair as well. My advice is to just condition your hair, use heat protectors, and trim the damaged hair every once in a while, or your hair will feel very fried later on. Products I like are Fructis deep conditioner, the Vo5 heat spray thing (which also smells really good), and there also used to be this line, ThermaSilk that made this straightening product, I don't see it at stores, but the creator of the line makes the SunSilk line, and I think an equivalent would be the therma-something line.
Have fun!!!
