After I straighten my hair, it feels coarse and dry. Is there anything you can do to make it soft and shiny without having products? Like something you can simply do at home?

Are you using a heat activated product before straightening it? I have found that helps.

There are also numerous balms you can buy to put on after you straighten for shinier, silkier hair.

Just go to your local store and spend a few minutes going through the products. Different ones work better for different people.

I LOVE the Big Sexy Hair brand on straightener. Don't know if you have that where you live, but it's great and I put it on before I even blow dry my hair. My hairdresser turned me on to it, because she said it really protects your hair from the heat of the dryer and straightener. It's about $12 or $13 a tube, but lasts a long time and is well worth the price.

I have naturally curly hair, so I straighten mine daily.

ok....its a home remidy....its the juice frim 1/2 a lemon, two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and 1 cup of water....It makes your hair shiny and smooth...

Directions: Shampoo your hair and rinse it like you usualy do , then pour the mix on your hair and massage into your head. Then Rinse with cool water...and then continue with your styling the way you nomaly would....it always works for me!

Use beyond the zone's "wax it up" before straightening your hair I also recommend their spray especially made to be used before using any heated hair tools. My hair is very dull and dry especially since I straighten my hair all the time but this product really helps my hair look shiny and it also makes it incredibly soft.
