Maybe you are using a heat guard product prior to straightening that has silicone in it. Silicone, if used too much, can make the hair have a greasy feel. Or, are you brushing your straightened hair more than you do the curly? This could bring out more scalp oils. Either way a good clarifying shampoo can help. Good luck.

it will appear that way because all the hair are now laying flat on each other instead of letting space fill up betwen curls, which tends to let it look dry and frizzy. also u may want to clean the straightner of styling products.

i straighten my hair very often and its no where near greasy but i only straighten every 2-3 days to prevent damage so maybe this can help you and i use a ceramic Revlon straightener and its pretty good

get a shampoo and conditioner to help with damaged hair

well make sure your hair is clean.. then if it gets really oily really fast, then don't put a lot of gels or leave in conditioners and stuff like that, also don't brush your hair a ton, because if you brush it too much it pulls your roots and makes oil come out, so if your staightener is pulling your hair in some way then thats probably why.

you may want to switch conditioner/shampoo and also, only shampoo your hair everyother night, no matter how gentle the lable says it is. Shampooing your hair everynight pulls out too many proteins from your hair folicals. It's also a good idea to rinse your hair in cool water after you wash it, it makes it softer and smoother. Another good idea is to put a little water on your brush and brush your hair after you're done straightening it. It will not take the straightness away.

Put mayonnaise on your hair once a month for 20 minutes, then wash. After that, use a ceramic straightener!
