Japanese hair straightening question?

when you get this done it is perminantly straight correct? so when your done swimming or get out of the shower, you dont need to straighten it?... so it will be as nice as when you got it done it the salon it will stay shiny and what it looked like right when you got it.

Japanese hair straightening question?

Yes, it is permanent. You do not need to straighten it when after you get it wet, but after swimming, it won't last as long. The chlorine will mess up some of your hair. Your hair will stay shiny, unless your hair started out really dry and un-shiny.

The only bad thing about it is that you can't wash your hair the first 2 days. Also, you can't curl it/whatever in the first 2 weeks or you will ruin it.

It usually is about $100 - $200 US. And it usually lasts about 6-8 months depending on how quickly your hair grows. The already straightened hair would not become curly/ frizzy again.

Hope that helps!

Japanese hair straightening question?

if u do get it done ask your hair stylist if it is healthy enough of it will be really dry and frizzy all the time

Japanese hair straightening question?

well it's not permanant but you only need to get it done twice a year, yes your hair will still be straight when you get it wet

Japanese hair straightening question?

My hairdresser told me that you must repeat the process every 6 months ... new hair grows in and also the previously treated hair slowly begins to curl again. I see dollar signs ...:-) Isn't it something like $600-$800 to get this done? Not worth it when you can buy a chi straightening iron for $90-$120 that works like magic.

Different hair works for different people. Some people already have straight hair and they straighten it so when they get out of the pool, their hair is stringy. If you have curly hair and swim with straightened hair, it will return to it's curly state. and become frizzy. Over all if you swim, your straightened hair will not look the same because it has been in contact with moisture, that's why hair frizzes when there's lots of humidity or when it is windy. The best thing to do for your hair is not to straighten it at all because it damages it if you do it frequently, leaving hair dry. Love your own natural texture

Japanese hair straightening question?

Straightening your hair is NOT forever permanent no matter what the professionals say.

Japanese hair straightening question?

yea it won't stay really shiny or extremely straight like naturally straight hair.

this technique is super drying to hair so it could end up very frizzy and very dull.

you will have to make sure to use products that are extra moisturizing. and will probably still have to straighten it.

i have naturally straight hair and i still straighten mine. no one has perfect stick straight hair.

Japanese hair straightening question?

i think that it should be!!

Good Luck!!

Japanese hair straightening question?

Even a "permanent" isn't permanent. Your hair will grow out and the new hair will be just like your hair before the straightening. No chemical treatment to your hair will stay nice without lots of TLC and conditioner. But yes, getting your hair wet will not undo the effects of a chemical straightener.
