I only straighten my hair twice a week and i just wondered if straightening affects my hair growth

No your hair will keep growing even after you die. So I don't think that straightening your hair stands a chance against death.

I really don't think that it stops it from growing, but I do know that sometimes it can lead to things like split ends. I think it really depends on the quality of your straightener, but I've never heard that it stops hair from growing...

the end of your hair dies I think.. I use it nearly everyday... no effect on growth but definitely not good for the hair.

If an iron -- absolutely not.

If with chemicals (depends on type) you may damage the hair follicle and weaken the hair shaft. Unlikely to slow down growth, but may make your hair thinner %26amp; brittle.

nope! it doesnt affect ur hair growth! i straighten my hair everyday! but make sure ur pretty hair doesnt get damaged so use straighteners with heat protectants! hope i helped a little!
