It can damedge it if you do it everyday try 3 times a week to keep your hair healthy, and also put a leave in conditioner in and you will be good to go.

Straightening will not make it fall out. It will make it break off. I straighten almost every day and I can see hairs that have been burned off or snap off. I keep my straightener on one of the lowest settings and just do small sections at a time. I also recommend using a heat protector. I use one by Nexxus.

I straighten my hair every other day--here si what I do to take care of it

- I use a good conditioner, and deep condition at least once a week

- I also use a heat protectant (sp?) for your hair. You put it on befor eyou blow dry/straighten your hair and it helps a LOT!

- Get monthly hair trims to get rid of those bad ends (You don't have to take inches off....just enough to maintain your ends)

I straightened my hair a lot and i could see the damage i was doing....it not only couses split ends but it also breaks pieces everywhere on your head giving the illusion that your hair is falling out. It really messes up the hair.

Anyways...I ended up getting my hair permanently straightened...also known as a straight perm, japanese hair straightening and many other names. Its a process just like a curling perm but for straightening. It makes your hair straight and silky forever (well unti it grows out) i think u should look it up and talk to some people....its way better thenstraightening everyday, it causes tons of damage. If you go to the salon...they can do a test to see if your hair can handle it....and ifit can....you get beautiful, straight and healthy hair!!!! :)

it will break off I have a lot of breakage from flatironing. Just make sure you spray your hair or protect it with something before you flat iron.

it's will do both..first of all u shouldn't straighten ur hair every day it really really bad..but if u still want to straighten ur hair everyday u should use tresemme heat tamer protective spray..i can tell from experience it's works ..also start using tresemme products such as shampoo and conditioner...and u can buy the leave in conditioner for better hair
