Does anyone know of any products that protect your hair aganist heat when straightening it?

I straighten my hair almost everyday and after 6 years my hair is starting to break and split. it also looks fried in some spots and i want it to repair. I cant stop straightening my hair because i have weird hair that theres nothing else to do with it, and if i dont straighten my hair, the fried parts look really bad and my hair looks a mess. any suggestions on how to repair %26amp; protect it?

first of all use a really good shampoo and conditioner that have moisturizers in them...do regular protein treatments, and ic makes a great heat protector...it smells great and gives your hair shine...not to mention that it reconditions it...

yes OK go to a salon and let them do it and between visits get some dove shampoo and condictor or some pantene for damage hair or tressemme all good stuff or go to a salon and have them look at your hair see or ask them what will you have to do to get it back to normal or see if you have to cut off the damage part.

There are many products out there, it all depends on what manufacturer you prefer and how much you are willing to spend. Talk to your hairstylist about what products are best for your hair, that is what she is there for. CHI makes many different products all designed to help with the straightening process. My favorite CHI item is the Shine Infusion. It helps give instant shine and also protects hair from frizz, it also helps mask any split ends.

Redken also has a product called Spray Starch #15. It helps protect your hair from the heat of the flat iron. Just make sure you are also using a good shampoo and conditioner. Once again, I recommend talking to your stylist about this, it is their ob to educate you on products for your hair and how to achieve the look you want. Good Luck!!

i use to flat iron my hair everyday and it caused no breakage no split ends nothing. this is the product of which is used everyday: its by MATRIX HAIR CARE and the product name is SLEEK LOOK. this product is absolutely wonderful, smells good, protects hair, and doesn't weigh the hair down. its in an orange bottle and they're pretty inexpensive. please look it up i promise you will love it

I have wavy hair and my hair frizzes alot, I straighten my hair everyday and what Ive found works best is going using a repairing conditioner and before I use the flat iron spraying on Ion Heat Protection , You can get it at Sally Beauty Supply for $6.00, its great. The directions say spray on a section before your flat iron but I wouldnt recommend doing that as that section of your hair becomes sort of waxy if you spray it on each section, what I do is pull my hair into half a pony tail and spray the bottom half of my hair holding it 6-8 inches away from the scalp, Dont saturate as you'll get the waxy effect, It should be a light mist. My stylist says that you should use 4-6 pumps a day its the same stuff she uses on all her clients. I bought my first bottle in February and its November and Im not even half way threw my first bottle!.
