How hard is it for you to have to deal with straightening your hair? How long does it take? Does it come out right?
Anybody have problems straightening their hair?
i have SUPER curly hair and i use a "CHI" straightener
theyre kinda pricy.. but so worth it.
make sure you get to the root because thats what makes ppl's hair look straighter. also, dont fry the ends it just looks weird.
good luckkk=)

its easier to deal with strightend hair. it makes it smooth, and sleek. no frizz no anything. it doesnt take long at all as long as you get a decent one. it comes out right every time. you cant really mess up strightning.
the good thing is, is that you can just wear it straight, or it acts as a good start for any other hairstyle where its smooth and such.

My hair is naturally curly so I have to put half of it up, straighten it, then straighten the other half, otherwise it doesn't go dead striaght. I straighten it about every 2 - 3 days and it only works properly if I apply hair spray after. It takes between 10 - 15 mins.

My hair is curly. I try to straighten it daily. It really does not work very well. I try to blow it straight. That only works occasionally. Then I either use a flat iron or a two inch barrel iron. It works about half the day then it frizzes up again.

I have thiiick hair and my hair takes about 1 1/2 - 2 hrs. If I do it good it comes out really nice and lasts about two weeks.

I have naturally curly hair but don't have too much difficulty straigtening it. I use a hair dryer and a open tooth brush and dry it in sections. It takes about 30 minutes since I have really long hair; to the middle of my back. Once it is dry I still stright iron it to ensure all of the moisture is out of it.

I have very curly hair and gave up straightening several years ago. Despite chi irons, good blow dryers and good products and everything, half the time I ended up with it frizzing or curling strangely by the end of the day and if it was foggy or raining, within the first 10 minutes. It also got damaged despite all the precautions and it took a ton of time each day (sorry, but 30 minutes each day drying my hair and then using a straightener is just too much time to spend). I found a stylist who could cut curly hair and found products to keep it looking good. Now it is easy and looks much better. If your hair is curly, get the book called "Curly Girl" on Amazon and follow its advice. I won't be going straight again.

It's not that hard at all once you get used to doing it. It depends how curly your hair is anywhere between 5 and 20 minutes. And it always comes out right if you have a good straightner. My cousin has really curly hair and to get it done quicker sometimes she takes like an iron for clothes and does her hair with that.

Honestly, it only takes me maybe 15 minutes to straighten my hair. I used to have really curly hair and for whatever reason as I get older and the more I strighten my hair ive notice it become more wavy than curly, so that maybe why it takes me only a little while to fix it. If possible try not to wash your hair as frequently and then in the morning all you will have to do is touch it up really quick. Also you should blow dry your hair dry before you straighten it, its ok if it looks puffy because the flat iron will take out the puff. The only problems I get are after I work out or after a humid day... those days I think its mostly the products you use. But on an average it should stay as long as you dont wet it, you dont get rained on, you dont sweat a ton... or basically just dont get it wet. It should stay until the next time you do get it wet and or shower.
I own a Conair Ceramic Flat Iorn that I bought at Wal-mart a REALLY long time ago. Some people might think that using a really expensive iorn helps-- but I'm not one of them. Ive used a CHI and a less expensive one. I dont see the difference-- not enough to explain away the price.
Hope this helps.

To make it short, for your hair you have to use a 100% ceramic flat iron, no tourmaline which is terrific but not for ur kind of hair) nor cheap irons.
The trick is to take little hair, start from the root and slide the straightner just once slowly, cz when you take too much hair, a thick layer, the hair in between will never touch the plates and this way ur hair will never get straight.
If you're looking for a good straightner check www.herstyler.com (check the video) or

I'm a hairdresser and I own a kiosque at a mall in montreal. We do free demonstrations all time and it works on all kinds of hair. I even did that for a black lady with an afro.
I wish I took pictures. Next time i will definitely.
If you are looking for a good deal on irons you can contact me, you get them half price + 1 year warranty.
