I am scared of straightening my hair. Can I have some advice?

Hi. I have pretty curly hair, that I really like, but sometimes I feel like having it straight.So I got a special hot straightening brush but I'm a little bit scared of straightening my hair. What if it doesn't go curly again after I wash it? Can someone explain how this straightening thing works, because I'd rather not have straight hair forever.

and also straightening balm also the only down fall after about two days you will need to wash your hair as it wont look clean

Instead of using a straightening brush, why not use a straightening iron?

I know plenty of curly haired people who use flat irons and none of there hair has stayed permanently straight, so its nothing to worry about [when using a straightening iron]. I have no clue about the brush, though.

As long as your not using chemicals to permanently straighten your hair, you'll be able to have your great curls come out when you wash your hair.

Hey I have curly hair like you do to. I love my curls to death but sometimes I feel like having my hair straight. I have straighted my hair so many times before and everytime it has come out when I washed it. As long as you are NOT using chemicals and you are just using heat to straighten it you will be fine.

actually ur hair can become curly again after u bath because thats not reborning* ur hair and so it would not last long but a curly hair is rather nice why do u want to make it straight ?

i have curly hair too and often make it straight... there is no chance whatsoever that your hair won't go back to being curly (unfortunately for me..), so don't worry... if u are really nervous, u can always buy good products for your hair, before you straighten it.

itz better to get it straightened once frm da parlour if u want or itz bettre nt 2 .u hav really nice curly hair which i feel is better than straight hair.u can ask a parlour nearby.

i suggest to really love your curly hair.. i mean there are products suited for girls with curly hair.. for me, having a straight hair for once in a while is amazing but it kinda gets dull when i see it always.. everyone's got this hair. rebonding, milk rebonding and so on. for me, curly hairs will be more experimental, adventurous and fun-to-do with different hairdos. i hope you won't take this badly.

i have a very curly hair. i have been straightening my hair since i was in 6th grade. if your genetical make-up is curly you will never have a permanent straight hair.....maybe only in your dreams! using hot rods are dangerous for the hair. constant use of hot rods would make your hair look dry and will eventually make your hair brittle. the best way to have a straight hair (just for a few months) would be having your hair treated in a professional salon that specializes in straighthening curly hairs. never compromise your hair to a so-so salon. its better to pay than make your worse than it was before. if you really want a straight hair, you have to spend. remember, once your hair is damaged, you have to wait for a long (weeks or months) before you could grow it back and fix it. once it is treated and you didnt like the result, you cannot have it treated immediately for the fix coz it will damage it further. i suggest that you alot a good sum to attain and be surely satisfied with a straightened hair. pick the right choice girl...

Hi, I have curly hair also and i love to wear it straight a lot! If you do not use chemicals whilst straightening your hair it will be fine.

on some people straightening irons and brushes dont work because their hair is too wirey or thick. If your hair is thick just split it into sections when straightening it.

it may take a while depending on the thickness of your hair!
