I have naturally curly hair thats about shoulder length..the few times i've had it ironed, all my friends basically rave about how nice it looks and blah blah blah...I like it both ways, and have a round face...(it's moderately round).don't know what will suit me..I guess i'm just biased b/c I'm used to curly hair..I was planning to do the japanese straightening thing...what should i do??
Straightening my hair??
curly hair is gorgeous. leave it the way it is
Straightening my hair??
I have a CHI straightener it works really well. You should get one!
Straightening my hair??
i would go for more curls if you have a round face because straight makes it look wider than it really does... and your friends probably love it because its different than your usual style but truthfully do what YOU want to do, not what other people you don't know tell you to!!
Straightening my hair??
they make those straighting irons that you use on wet hair that steams it dry straight. it doesnt take that long to do and it makes your hair shinny when your done. and plus there not that expensive. you could probally get one at some place like wal mart.
Straightening my hair??
I'm the same way. Well, when you Japanese straighten it, which is thermal straightening, I think.... its like that for a long long time. And then it will eventually go back to normal.
Plus I have natural curls and all my friend rave about it too and I haev a round-ish face too. weird. I liek my curly hairand if I coudl i would get it japanese striaghtened for fun, but I'm not.
Straightening my hair??
I had the exact same problem, i have curly hair too! You should definately not do that to your hair!! ur probably very jealous of those chicks with perfectly straight hair and they wake up every day and its always super straight and silky! well the truth is they hate their hair, you on the other hand can either wear it curly or straight..you are going to want your curly hair back, trust me! its better to waste an hour or so straightning it, because curly hair is beautiful...and you might not get it back the same way....trust me my friends always tell me how lucky i am to be able to wear it two different ways...curly hair rocks!
Straightening my hair??
well why dont u just straighten it half way (from roots to ears) that way its half and half, dont straighten it too often though your hair will get frizzy
Straightening my hair??
curls all the way!
Straightening my hair??
leave it alone
Straightening my hair??
I got one of those japnese perms.
DO NOT DO IT FOR THE REASONS I DID.
IF your hair is frizzy, this will NOT solve the problem, trust me. I got it in a foreign country for lk 30 US dollars, so it wasn't a big deal, but my hair grew it, and now it looks sorta wavyish with straight strands near the front. Don't do it if you aren't committed to having it done every year.
Use a flat iron once in a while. Works much better. ;)
Straightening my hair??
maybe you should try to straighten it everyday for a week or two and see if you get sick of it straight, if you dont then you can try the japanese straightening
Good Luck!
Straightening my hair??
do whatever you fell most comfortable wiht. you can even alternate..its not good to ALWAYS keep one hairstyle..mix it up...variety is key to a sexy look!!!
Straightening my hair??
please just use a flat iron with a smoothing spray fom vavoom and take little sections this should last a few days.....
Straightening my hair??
I would leave it alone and do the temporary straightening. If you get it chemically straightened and don't like it your stuck with it for a while, plus your risking damage to your hair whether it's minimal or not. Straight hair is the in thing right now but you never know hairstyles change all the time.
Straightening my hair??
I have naturally curly hair also and spent all of my high school years wishing for straight-or even wavy-hair. My advise is to invest in a quality hair straightner. I have the Chi. It's the best. I've been though about 3 different straightners and I love that one. But I've noticed that once I use it, I can't curl my hair with a regular curling iron to get bigger curls or waves. So if I want wavy, I will blow dry and straighten with a large round brush and then use the Chi to completly straighten the first 5 inches or so from my scalp (helps eliminate frizz) and then use a regular curling iron to give the ends bounce.
Word of advice, use a smoothing product of some kind before using the Chi, it gets EXTREMLY hot and will fry your hair if you don't put something on your hair to protect it.
I encourge you to try all kinds of hair styles, from stick straight to bouncy and wavy.
Straightening my hair??
i think you shouldn't get a japanese thing or whatever because then youhave to stay straight all the time. corioliss straighteners are excellent and if you want it curly you can put gel in your hair when it's wet and scrunch it. if it gets frizzy dry it about 80% with a diffuser but not all the way because it'll still frizz.
