I need help about straightening my hair?

I have really curly hair, which doesn't bother me. I usually wear it curly, but sometimes when I have extra time in the morning, I'll straighten it. What drives me insane, is I will straighten it, and as soon as I step outside it gets frizzy and curls up, but not very much, and looks awful. I've tried using different products, and even wearing a hat that covers as much as possible. Nothing works. Is there anything I can do, or am I just cursed with bad hair when it comes to straightening it?

My hair does that to when i starighten it but i bought this product at my salon its in the sexy hair line and its called straight and sexy hair and its this liquid stuff and you just hang comb it through your hair then blow dry it and its already pretty striaght and it keeps it straight to but make sure you blow dry it or else it doesnt work.

you can try relaxer or a good flat iron and garnier styling products. do you have someone at home who can help you out with it? ask them for help in using the iron until you get used to it and can manage on ur own.

It depends on what you're doing to straighten it. I have really curly hair and mine stays straight. I usually blow dry it first. Then I use a good quality straightener. Buy it from a salon. They usually go up to about 400 degrees. I keep mine at 300. You should also put on a protectant first. I know Nexxus makes a heat protectant spray. I buy a spray at Sally's. After it's straight, you can throw a little biosilk serum on your hair if you want. I do and I love it. So just blow drying it won't do any good. You have got to use a straightener. A GOOD one. Not a wal-mart one. those are junk. Good luck!

the best thing to do is to take a shower at night. then when your hair dries you straigten it and sleep on it straigtened. then in the morning just touch it up a little bit, you might get like a random wave or something. this always worked for me i had the same problem.

the key is the natural oils in your hair. if you straigneted your hair tuesday morning and did NOT take a shower on wednesday morning, the natural oils will make it less frizzy. thats why...

for a perfect one day straignen, you should straignen it on sunday and dont shower till tuesday morning. it will be perfect on monday.

I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL! my hair is the same way. i usually take a shower and while my hair is still wet put it into 2 braids. this will keep it from getting too... poofy lol. then i wait a couple hours and start straightning it. i sllep on it and then the next morning straighten it again. it gets straighter and stay straighter if you sleep on it. also try frizz-ez. it is AH-MAY-ZING!!! It tamed my friss freak hair lol.
