How do I get my hair shiny after drying and straightening?

I've got quiet thick hair. At the moment it's grade 2 on the back and sides and long infront. I usually straighten my hair usually once every 3 days but it always look dull after drying it. Here is my process: I shampoo and condition (with whatevers in the shower, usually cheap stuff) then I towel dry until it's damp, then i put some heat protection cream on (at the moment boots straightening balm but i've also used loreal studio straight) then i blow dry and then straighten it. Is there any gel i could put on (so its shiny and smooth like peter parker in spider-man 3) or something? or perhaps a new conditioner?

If you straighten your hair a lot, you might want to get a moisturizing shampoo%26amp;conditioner. It doesn't have to be expensive, since you said whatever is cheap, you can go to Walmart or Target and get some moisturizing shampoo. I recommend Loreal Vive Pro or Garnier Fructis.

To get your hair shiny, use a serum before %26amp; after blowdrying and straitghtening. I suggest John Frieda Frizz Ease or Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum. Or, look for something from Tresseme, they have good products too.

1%26amp;+2- cheap stuff is the wrong way to go. most likley it will dry out your hair.and the conditioner...who knows whats in that.....

try Panteen color expressions. they have one for every color and shade...

next you should use some mosteriziing cream.that will work better than the heat protcection cream.

then dry however...

use herbal expressions straight colection...i cant remember what it is called...but it is in a spray bottle...it will make your hair shiny and smooth after straightening.

you can use some bed head, it works really good.

Just ask your hair dresser or whoever cuts your hair and talk about bed head products..

also the straightner might help, i would suggest a CHI straightner it doesnt burn your hair.
