Solutions for damaged hair from excessive straightening?

Firstly always make sure you use a heat protect spray before you use any heated tool on hair, whether that's straighteners, hair dryer, heated rollers or tongs. Always protect your hair!

Secondly, give your hair a break. Don't straighten it everyday. You wouldn't go on a sunbed daily so don't do it to your hair, you're frying it.

Third, you need to get the moisture back into your hair. You can buy deep conditioning treatments at Boots, Superdrug or any supermarket. Olive oil is also good so you could use that. Put it on your hair, wrap cling film round %26amp; leave it for an hour. Only do it once a week though. And buy a good quality shampoo %26amp; conditioner specifically for dry, heat damaged hair.

Salons sell the best products if you don't mind paying a bit more but you'll be fine with shop bought stuff otherwise.

Hot oil treatments, trying putting good conditioner on and leaving overnight. Restrict the use of heating items to once a week!!!! Uiing dryers and straighteners kills your hair - literally,. If you MUST straighten, leave the dryer alone. Use something to protect your hair whilst using straighteners, like cheap hairspray sprayed on before use - this gives some moisture so its not all taken out of your hair. There are loads of products out there for straightening - go have a good look round Boots.
